The George B. Henderson Foundation grants $30.000 to the Nichols House Museum to restore the museum’s historic entry portico.

CAMBRIDGE, MA. JULY 14TH 2016 - Design Associates congratulates the Nichols House Museum on its receipt of a $30,000 grant from the George B. Henderson Foundation to restore the museum’s historic entry portico. Design Associates prepared the plans and specifications for the successful grant application and will be working with the museum through the completion of construction this autumn.

 About the Nichols House Museum

The Nichols House Museum's mission is: To preserve and interpret the 1804 townhouse that was from 1885 until 1960 the home of Rose Standish Nichols, landscape gardener, suffragist and pacifist. The house was built by Jonathan Mason and is attributed to Charles Bulfinch. The museum educates visitors by providing a unique glimpse into the domestic life in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries on Boston's historic Beacon Hill.
