PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Suffering from unsympathetic alterations and neglect, this 1875 Second Empire single family residence was restoratively renovated. A classic Design Associates’ project, the design team carefully removed many mid to late 20th century alterations; a large carport, an in-filled front entry porch and a period-inappropriate color scheme. The end result? A late 19th century residence that looks as if it had always been there with the re-use of the original exterior shapes and details. Updated with state-of-the-art kitchen and bathrooms, these new interiors are carefully merged with the original interior doors, hardware, casings and baseboard.
