PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A six bedroom summer home built in the grandfathered foundations of a previous dwelling situated on a coastal dune.Turn-of-the-century design and detailing was used on the exterior to conform to Conservation Commission and Historic District Commission guidelines. The coastline siting prompted a long and narrow design with porches and balconies carved into the plan to achieve rooms with three-sided views of the water.The inland facing facade features a large semicircular deck for sunning, and a boathouse and privet maze to establish privacy on a relatively small site.The interior has a post-modernist flavor achieved through the extensive use of whitewashed beadboard.
