Philip Corbin Mansion- 1994, 2004 Timeline
Oak Bluffs, MA

Originally constructed in 1891, reconstructed in 1994 by Design Associates, and destroyed by fire in February of 2001, the owner of this Oak Bluffs Victorian has chosen to rebuild the house as a replica of the original. These pictures provide a brief synopsis of the history of the Corbin-Norton estate, from its original appearance, through how it looked before its restoration in the nineties, and up to June 2001, when the post-blaze pictures below were taken. This project was honored by the Boston Society of Architects “Excellence in Architecture” award program in 1996. The new house interiors were designed in collaboration with The Getty's Group, Inc, an interior design firm in Chicago.
