Private Residence - 2000
Edgartown, MA
Renovation of Main House and creation of a Garage Apartment for a summer residence. Built in the mid 1800’s, this Folk Victorian was dark and cramped, suffering largely from a inefficient floor plan. The architects removed the poorly planned half of the main house and created a new two-story addition. The addition created much needed space: the first floor holds a dining room, kitchen, sunroom, laundry and powder room, second foyer and second stairway. The second floor features a master suite and office, and allowed for the enlargement of an existing bedroom.
